Problem with WordPress integration

Hello.
I have a username, created an app password and my Wordpress site. I entered all of that information and I keep getting a credential error. I haven't had that issue with other apps that require integration. Do you know what the issue may be? Also, I noticed that I cannot select "High" as a priority.

Hi there!

I am sorry to hear that you have trouble integrating your WordPress website with Yazo.

To properly connect your WordPress website, please follow this guide on our support pages:
https://help.yazo.ai/integrations/

Here are some additional tips:
1) Make sure you enter the full URL of your website in the integration form. The URL must contain http or https prefix (e.g. https://example.com)
2) Make sure you enter your WordPress account username. This is not your email address!
3) Make sure you copy and paste your full WordPress application password. This password must be associated with your WordPress user account. Do not delete whitespaces inside the password.
4) Triple check all the data you enter. Be sure to follow instructions from our integration guide.

If all above fails, please contact your WordPress website hosting provider, and make sure that your server accepts incoming connections. If your hosting provider blocks incoming connections to your WordPress website, Yazo won't be able to establish connection.

I already did that. I haven't had any problems integrating WP before
with other apps. I have other apps that have connected fine.

Hi,

I have just talked to one of our developers regarding your issue. He has ran some tests and discovered a bug in the integration form. It seems that you MUST add a trailing slash (/) at the end of your URL, otherwise the system will throw an error.

In short, when filling the "Your website address" field, you:

DO NOT ENTER URL LIKE THIS:
https://example.com

BUT ENTER URL LIKE THIS:
https://example.com/

Be sure to append the trailing slash.

Please report back to me if this resolves your issue.

This did not fix the issue and I even disabled all my plugins.  Also
what I find interesting is that even though I have debugging turned on
for the wordpress site, it doesn't register any type of error as if
there was no connection being made to my site at all......as if the
error is just happening at the application side BEFORE it even tries
to actually authenticate with my wordpress server.
Never seen this before.

Hi,

Thank you for detailed insights.

We have just rolled out an update that fixes the trailing slash error. We have also added new debugging features which should help us better understand other errors.

Could you please try connecting you WordPress website again?

The app should now throw a specific error code in case something goes wrong. It should look something like this: https://imgur.com/a/1JnBiUw

Thanks for adding the additional debugging info.  It now says that I
am getting a 403 error message so I at least now have a target to
investigate on my end.  Thanks again for your continued support and
quick responses.

---

You are welcome!

Yes, 403 error indicates a problem related to your website's server.

Feel free to reach out if you will be needing additional assistance.

---

The only way that I was able to get the Wordpress integration to work
was to set the user to Administrator which seems weird because I have
been able to have the user set as Editor before.  I have it set now
and luckily it is a user that I control but I don't know if that is
unique to me or something you should check.  Thanks.

Hi,

That's great news! I am glad to hear that you have managed to integrate your WordPress website.

I will forward your findings to our developers, and we'll add these insights to our knowledgebase.

Best regards!
