Hi there!

Thank you for sending us the screenshot.

The 401 error (unauthorized) means you have incorrectly entered you WordPress application username and password.

Please make sure you have entered correct credentials.

Your WordPress application username and password are DIFFERENT from your login credentials.

Please check out our step-by-step guide how to connect Yazo with your website here:
https://help.yazo.ai/integrations/

Thank you for this. Help me. What’s the difference between my
username and my log in credentials. I believe since I don’t know the
difference they should be the same.

My login in , I imagine, is to my backend dashboard. Kindly bear with
me as I get this right . I have also copied my colleague in to this
response for his further guidance please

Cheers .

Hi there!

No problem, we are here to help!

To connect your WordPress website with Yazo you need to create a new application password associated with your WordPress user account.

You can see detailed step-by-step instructions with pictures on this link:
https://help.yazo.ai/integrations/

If you can't open the link, please follow these steps:

To connect your WordPress website to Yazo, go to your Profile Settings, click on Integrations tab, and then click on Connect button.

A new popup window will appear, asking you to provide your WordPress Application Credentials. These include your website’s URL, your WordPress application username, and your WordPress application password.

To create a new WordPress application password, login to your WordPress administrator dashboard, and in the main menu located on the left click Users, and then All Users. A new page will open.

On this page you can see a list of all users that are currently associated with your WordPress website. Click on the username of the user account that you wish to connect to Yazo. Write down the username of the account for which you will create application password, because you will need it to connect to Yazo.

A new page will open. Here you can edit all the data associated with your WordPress account. Scroll down until you see Application Passwords section.

In the New Application Password Name field enter the name of your application (i.e. Yazo). After that, click on the Add New Application Password button.

WordPress will now generate a new application password for you. It should be a string consisting of six groups of characters. Copy the whole application password, and store it somewhere. Do not delete whitespaces inside the password.

After that, return to Yazo integrations page, and enter all the necessary data that you just obtained.

After you have successfully connected your WordPress website to Yazo, open one of your documents in the Projects archive, click on the WordPress icon in the text editor toolbar, and then click Export.

And voilà! You have successfully connected your WordPress website to Yazo.

Thanks. I created the password from my website backend. Screenshot of
password attached but I got another error message (screenshot
attached)

This is a further response to this email. I sent one 2 minutes ago. I
am attaching a screen shot of the backend of the site to show the
username.

In the space for URL (for integrations) is it the admin email address
or the website address with /admin I should be using?

So is it www.example.com:
http://www.example.com
Or
www.example.com/wp-admin:
http://www.example.com/wp-admin

I just want to be sure that's not where the error is.

Thank you for your time

Hi,

In the "Your website address" field you need to enter:
https://example.com/

In the WordPress application username you need to enter your WordPress username.

In the WordPress application password you need to enter you WordPress application password.

Please let us know if you succeed. If you get another error please send us a screenshot.

---

Thank you for your reply. I am still getting the 401 error message. I
revoked the former password and created a new one the same way.

Here is a screenshot of the integration page .

Are you able to help me via Anydesk App?

---

Could you please copy and paste your current active WordPress application username and password and send it here?

Our developers will try to test the connection to your server and inspect if everything is work fine.

---

Hi there!

Our senior development engineer investigated your issue, and he found the cause of your problem.

Your web server firewall is blocking POST requests from our application. It only allows GET requests, but POST requests are forbidden (see attached screenshot). You must allow POST requests for WordPress integration to work.

To fix this issue, you must contact your web hosting company and ask them to allow POST requests to your website.

---

Thank you for your response. I have spoken to the hosting company and
they will disable the firewall for the site immediately. He says
should be done in about 15 minutes.

Kindly confirm if your engineers will continue the integration, once
the firewall is disabled.

Thanks for the exceptionally patient response so far.

---

We have just tested the connection. Everything seems to be working OK, we are getting positive response from your server when sending POST requests.

Please log in to your Yazo account and in the WordPress integration form enter your WordPress application data.

Please confirm if your problem has been fixed.

---

Many thanks. The integration is done
